Paulo C. Mendoza was born on February 1, 1984, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. At the age of five, he moved to the province of Manabí, where his parents are originally from. From a young age, he was taught the value of hard work, perseverance, and consistency—principles that became the foundation of his entrepreneurial journey.
He is currently married to Dominique and is the proud father of three daughters, who are his greatest personal and professional motivation.
Together with Dominique, he founded Grupo FRANSUR, an Ecuadorian company focused on the development of gastronomic projects and franchise models. Since its inception, FRANSUR has launched innovative food and beverage concepts, with a strong emphasis on scalability, customer experience, and sustainable business practices.
In 2023, Paulo published his first book, Fracasar para ganar (Failing to Win), available on Amazon. In this book, he shares real experiences of failure, crisis, and growth. Rather than offering a formula for success, the book presents an honest and practical reflection on what it means to start from scratch, make mistakes, adapt, and keep moving forward.
He is also the creator of the podcast Emprender el camino (The Path of Entrepreneurship), where he interviews entrepreneurs from different industries about their stories, struggles, and lessons learned. The podcast has gained recognition for its authenticity and for highlighting the less glamorous—but more valuable—side of entrepreneurship.
Passionate about gastronomy and business growth, Paulo has turned every setback into an opportunity to grow stronger. His direct approach, adaptability, and constant drive to learn have positioned him as an authentic voice in Ecuador’s entrepreneurial landscape.
